Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
Provide leadership in the development of financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Advise the CEO and executive team on financial planning, cash flow, budgeting, and company growth strategy.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
Monitor and control financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions when needed.
Lead the company’s budgeting process and ensure that financial targets are met.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage financial risks, including operational, credit, and market risks.
Ensure that the company complies with all financial, legal, and regulatory obligations.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Capital Management:
Optimize the company’s capital structure and ensure that financing is available for growth initiatives.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and investment strategies.
Corporate Governance & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate governance policies, and ethical standards.
Lead the financial audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Reporting & Financial Oversight:
Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and stakeholders.
Present financial data and analysis to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations.
Monitor key financial metrics and drive improvements where necessary.
Team Leadership:
Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Mentor and guide finance staff to ensure their career development aligns with company objectives.
Promote collaboration between the finance department and other business units.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other expansion strategies.
Lead due diligence and integration processes for M&A activities.
Technology & Process Improvements:
Leverage financial technologies (e.g., ERP, analytics tools) to improve operational efficiencies.
Drive digital transformation initiatives in financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA designation preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital management is a plus.
Skills:
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing finance team.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance.
Proficient in financial software systems (e.g., ERP systems, financial analytics tools).
